This research effort is designed to translate patient stories of those affected by Short Bowel Syndrome (SBS) in to accurate representation of Quality of Life (QOL) which has been primarily measured from a clinical and functionality perspective. The Gutsy Perspective aims to positively affect QOL research to not just measure if a patient is on TPN, feeds and other bells and whistles but the actual experience of these interventions. Poor understanding of what the QOL of SBS actually looks like has limited clinical interventions provided to our patients affected by SBS.
