Gastroschisis is a large part of our everyday family life. Our 8-year-old son was born April 7th, 2006, at 29 weeks. Because of damage to his bowel in utero, he had to have his ileum removed. We struggle daily with complications related to SBS. We know every day is a gift. AAGF is a wonderful foundation that I wish existed when I struggled with the diagnosis. I am excited to work with AAGF to spread awareness and provide resources for families like us!
