My name is Sarah Estrada and I have a sweet little boy that was born with gastroschisis. At our 22-week sonogram, we were excited to find out his gender, but were shocked only seconds later that he would be born with the defect and to expect a long NICU stay. We were equipped from then on with an amazing team of specialists and supporters, including Avery’s Angels. After the initial NICU visit and a few PICU stays, I’ve had the desire to serve families that are experiencing gastroschisis. I’m excited to be serving as the Texas Co-Coordinator for Avery’s Angels.
